Why is it important to work on your mind?

In a society where social models focus more on physical appearance than intellectual aspects, there is a growing pressure on women to maintain a youthful appearance and not let age catch up with them. This pressure is leading to serious psychological issues for many. The same applies to young men and women, who feel the need to have strong muscles from adolescence and buy all the cosmetic products available on the market to look like their favorite Instagram influencers. Additionally, many start to undergo cosmetic corrections at a very young age, leading to eating disorders, and more.
In a world of constant social impacts that repeatedly tell us we are not enough, if our minds are not well-developed, we risk suffering from low self-esteem, personal dissatisfaction, anxiety, rejection of our own bodies, and more.
The mind is like a computer; everything we see and hear passes through it. Our brain receives information and processes it according to the mental frameworks we have established based on our values, beliefs, and experiences. With each stimulus, there is always a corresponding thought that can be conscious or unconscious, from which an action emerges. For example, Vanesa just watched a video on Instagram where one of her favorite influencers uses a new lip liner that makes lips look fuller. Vanesa has thin lips and starts feeling a little self-conscious because everyone now seems to have fuller lips. Without thinking, she immediately buys the lip liner, which costs forty-five euros. The lip liner is the stimulus that has generated a thought related to her self-consciousness, and her unconscious mind responds for her. If we take the same example but with Vanesa responding from a conscious thought, it might look like this: "I already have ten lip liners like that, and they don't make a big difference."
These kinds of examples happen to us many times a day—impact after impact, we are swayed by what we see without using our conscious mind, entering a cycle of "I am not enough," "I need this and that," "I have to have," "I have to be," which leads to dissatisfaction and an inability to enjoy daily life.
The mind ages just like the rest of the body. Therefore, if we care for our physical appearance, we should also give importance to an organ that will depend on our mental clarity throughout our lives—the brain, which will be with us regardless of whether we have an excellent physical appearance or not.
In coaching, we work to train the mind and improve conscious awareness, helping you to achieve greater mental clarity, self-esteem, make better decisions, understand your mind, your saboteurs, your fears, and so on, in order to live your daily life with a healthier mind. To do this, we use tools and propose exercises that help you explore your mind with curiosity and learning, allowing you to be your true self, to be who you want to be from your conscious thoughts, and to feel secure.
If you begin to work on your mind, you will start seeing things differently—more positively, with greater security and self-esteem. A first step leads to a fuller way of life. I invite you to take it and see that, in a short time, by working on your mind with enthusiasm, your life starts to shine.
